Wheels
That would be great if we could able to build ground only ships, for example to move in big city. No engine, just fuel tank and link, and ability to configure them

DinkledashWe've been told this will never happen because the collision meshes to get proper terrain action would be too fine and it would kill performance.

Dmitry NesterovI think the wheels need an engine to be linked. And an engine with a fuel tank. And a special cockpit with a steering wheel + a separate passenger seat. Different sizes of wheels and motors. Then you can create an all-terrain vehicle that will explore the planets.

WarStalkeRI'm fine with wheels in game if it is feasible to add. But I do want to remind people that this game is not No Man Sky with voxels, but a completely different type of game, where anything that has ground only capability is utterly useless.

LumberingTrollShould definitely require an engine, but not the same kind that you put on a ship. wheels don't create movement on their own.

razwant this just for being able to build things that can be taken down into mining and not get thrown to the surface by the water / Hover engine reactions.

Hazard0814Ground vehicles would have to have a severe limit on speed. I'm thinking like tank speed, though they would come in handy if you need to travel beyond your linkage range. Though maybe they would have less penalty on mass V speed than air vehicles. Be interesting seeing tanks drop during an ORG v ORG war with anti air etc.
