Jake ArverYes please.. this is greatly missed in game and with chat already being "compartmentalized" mostly it should not be _that_ hard to add, especially with pretty much drop in 3rd part solutions available.

AdraenorYes please, DU need that for better experience. But with a shorter hearing range in market than outside to avoid the hubbub. And the possibility to mute people (and let them now you muted them by icon in V-mode for exemple)

AdraenorDiscord is not good for that, because it's damn frustrating to go to thousand of discord just to speak to the random guy next to you.
I don't understand why everyone speaks about Discord, it's not at all the same function. Plus, there is no spatially based voice with Discord, thus reducing immersion. -

MjrlunI think this would be a good idea solely because it's super obnoxious trying to get a hold of someone near you that you want to speak to. Of course a mute feature would be needed as well.

KytheumThis is something Dual Universe absolutely needs, I think I've been talking about this suggestion for well over 4 years now and even made a thread a couple of years ago in the Idea Box, there was great reception and discussion with an overwhelming majority of people within the thread looking to see this be implemented.
Especially in large dynamic organisations, trying to find a way to quickly communicate with an individual or group of people is incredibly difficult, a local chat can be filled with spam but a localised proximity voice system would easily eliminate this and provide greater immersion into the game world. Bringing conversations normally suited for discord into the environment, and there would be a natural push for facilitating these with conference rooms, offices and so on which can really diversity the social aspect.
