Offer a way to display ranking of players in various competitions or gameplay achievements.
To further encourage griefers? No thanks.
Agree with Daphne
Umm how Daphne? It could be leaderboard for money.
A nice to have but very limited.Would a more generic solution not be a combination of two systems:1) A single place for an org/player to edit screen contents that will be displayed on specially marked screens. I.e. pull screen contents from a special area on in-game organizations page.2) screen templates/markup that allow quickly setting up player names and ordering with some custom values. The first is all that is needed to make bounty screens, leaderboards, bulletin updates, notes etc
Really don't see the use of this. Seeing the richest person in the game would remove an element of the game, seeing which org has the most territories would also take a bit away from the game and a kill leaderboard would just be abused, people would just kill their friends.
Tricky... Fun in limited competitions, and it is nice to know your personal stats (you fired x shots, you respawned x times, your mined x ore, you blew up x targets), but it can be discouraging to some players to see "how far behind" they are if made prominent in areas frequented by players that would not otherwise care. If this is implemented, these leaderboards need to be somewhere you need to go out of your way to see.
No for this
Perhaps allow a setting for a player to opt in their name display in rankings, therefore other players only see anonymous players position and not the players name. By default this setting would be off to maintain privacy. This could also be for Orgs as well. There could also be a time requirement filter to be met in terms of login so that inactive accounts could be not listed/excluded.
strenght of DU is elsewhever, we do not need achievments at all !! but ingame events or competitions could be great but again aren't players suppose to be content creators? instead of it give us more features... some soft survival features could be fine :)
This tool really need a downvote button.
just no. these are only ever abused. In eve the bounty board was used as advertising for online gambling by putting bounties on their own alts who never logged in and never left a station.. in pvp it encourages people to find ways to break the anti-cheat to gain an edge.. in economics, it encourages scamming.. none of these are positive gameplay elements for anyone but the people on the top of the board, who tend to be the biggest abusers.
