Ability to store copied voxels structures into a persistent library, naming them, and recall them when needed.
Would make stuff much easier !
As a reference, in th game "Avorion" any selected voxels can be saved to files, and pasted from there. So I can store my own library on disk, structured in any way by folders.

Nice to have™, but made obsolete by simply improving current build tools to the point that they're less of a necessary crutch, and we already have persistent libraries in the form of static/dynamic constructs in the world.
This would speed up the construction of many complex elements into the game.

Me being an in game builder, a voxel library would be great. A suggestion for a voxel library if it is possible with this game to have one like Empyrion Galactic Survival. It’s library has lots of shapes and sizes that coincide/go together to be able to make different larger shapes/designs.
Would be nice to add the possibility of trading these stored voxels structures, maybe something like in-game assets store.
what's needed is a library of pre defined shapes that can be selected using mouse wheel with the voxel tool #2take a look at Empyrion Galactic survival, on steam, they have a really good pallet of shapes
also make some of the voxels have ceratin functions especially the ability to generate lift so we don't have to plaster stabilizers all over the ship.
Would simplify the possesion of voxel libraries, seems like a great idea. Would be cool if you could buy a voxel library from a voxelmancer and then use them yourself.
this is wonderful so long as it is a personal library and not a global library.
These should be like bookmarks and saved as presets, with the exception of being organised MUCH better
This is a good idea as difficult shapes takes a long time to create and re-usability will really help making building easier. As you initially generated the shape anyway I don't see any reason how this will negatively impact the game
Very much desired. How it might work:Add a new datafile type that is created from a voxel selection (initiated perhaps by Alt-C in build mode whith the Voxel Select tool active). When the data file is "equipped" in build mode it activates the Voxel Select tool and loads the copy buffer with the saved voxel selection. This allows it to be pasted by pressing Ctrl-V if materials are available in the active inventory.
This is a must-have, especially for beginning builders. Devs could include some basic shapes as default. Compared with Empyrion, the building in this game is too intimidating to some and this will help ease builders into the game a LOT. Voxelmancers can then trade shape blueprints with others who can use their creations without cluttering things up with silly shape constructs.
I do not think they let us store the voxels on our file system. I whould be great
