Will this include orbital mechanics so that the planets are not static like they currently are, also a way to maybe harvest energy from stars?Stargates would be wonderful but hopefully player/org built or maybe with a global contribution system and just just come into existence. Also with new solar systems a way to explore them first before the gates are built.

This is very exciting. But the introduction of history would not hurt - how the colonists went to the next system and founded a new outpost there (covered in the game and in other sources). Plus, the spirit of research, pioneering is very important. Please provide it to players on new planets - I mean new flora and fauna, abandoned alien artifacts - that need to be investigated using laboratories (archeology skill).
This is desperately needed. I commented in the pvp topic about this, so we need the new star systems to be richer and more resourceful than Alioth and the starting system. Therefore it attracts players away from the starting area and pvp can occur away from new players. There is no point new players starting on Alioth where it's already completely occupied and the centre of all trade and warfare.
Stargates build by community with demending a huges advanced / uncommon / basics components that can be only craft by several hundred people in BOTH SIDE of the gate.We should start Building a Gate in main solar system and a "arrival beacon" on the destination (with few people that travel "by hand" with time / effort). And then people must go to the new system to build the way back gate
Make new planets hidden! Exploration would change everything and put sense in some useless (at the moment) things.Like I wrote on the forum. We would see a deep space stations for refueling/cargo exchange, resting during journey, seeking for safe place etc...Don`t give players everything on the plate... where is fun in this?In my opinion, people playing your games are not kids who wants everything and right now! They are achivers, challenge takers!Let`s say you "limit" a universe to 40-50000 su and say: "hey, we made 2 new solar systems". You add an item "space scanner" which acts like a territory scanner but in space. It would show you a signal from planets if you were close enough to them. On some of new planets add a new mineral which allow players to build a uber expensive long range warp station or something like that.Please don`t make "another sand pits do dig holes in" from this idea :)
wanting to hear some clear clarification from the Devs of NQ if the galaxy is still a permanent plan for the game? I got invested in DU based on the concept of it being a galaxy and not a couple of solar systems... the principle of expanding outwards to unknown and uncharted areas that are lawless and risky and have to be fully founded by players to connect via star gates etc. was always my interpretation of the information that was indicated? I am hoping this is correct and some information about this would be great
I am all for a combination of dev and dynamic addition of solar systems. Obviously, making dynamic expansion possible is a huge dev challenge. Giving us more room to work/play with in the short term improves the short to mid range viability of the game. I am still of the opinion that dynamic solar system mechanics would benefit from a dynamic safe zone system (w/ diminish returns) based on gates constructed in current safe zone. This would organically make a corridor of safe space with many tendrils of lawless solar systems that would serve the whole community.
There should be some new solar system(s) where there is a safe zone like the first system for either new players or solo players ready to become organizations who right now have the ONLY option to compete with very well established mega-miner corporations.
