Player-driven simple mission system
- Simplified mission system allowing players to offer missions based on their needs (refuel, cargo haul…). No formal check of mission completion at this stage.
- Regular time-limited missions added by Novaquark, such as Shipwreck salvaging, vault break-ins, or puzzles

DorianGrayI would so love to see that as it would enable as a new level of interaction. For missions it would be great if they could be accepted on behalf of myself or a corp, too!

Gravity1443A player driven mission system would allow more people and orgs to work together to achieve goals. It would also give smaller orgs and solo players the chance to freelance.

OzPhantomWill add a new purpose to enhance playability and retention of players in DU. Appeal to a wider audience. Lessen the need for boring mining. Introduce shared missions for better collaborative PvE style play. Would definitely increase likelihood of continuing subscription.

Hammergod88I think this would be good for getting and keeping players going. Some player are mission driven and if they have a org that is active and placing these mission it will keep player longing on and even bring another wave of players class

Killerjoy1Would love to see this implemented. Even like simple cargo transport missions from players, there's that risk of theft of the cargo. There isn't much security here, even from org members or "friends". Besides, what I am doing is just traveling, mining, building, repeat. As for puzzles and vault stuff, it sounds interesting. It gives more of a purpose to explore, fly around, and encourages to do something or go somewhere with more reasons than just mining ores in one spot here and there.

Saoriplayer-made quest are IMO a waste of devtime considering those quest will already be given trough discord or any other social media in any organized alliance, altrought NQ timed objective seem interesting and if well made could create some "hotspot" for PvP other than raiding H24, like a roaming rich asteroid belt or an extreamly big ship/station to salvage etc
this way you have 2 PvP content with
passive income with conquerable automatic mining unit <3
direct reward trought timed event -

KasmilosHaving no formal completion check severely limits the usefulness as a player-driven system.
It would be limited to a type of "help wanted" notice board with no automatic payment options. -

ZybleI keep looking at this game, but the only thing stopping me from trying it is the lack of an 'objective'. Missions will fill that nicely, and I could see myself subbing if a system to accept missions is added.

Mal ReynoldsFor player missions if both parties ticked a "complete" button/box then this might work - however to stop scammers and griefers a players complete/incomplete rate should be visible on the mission screens so that a player who habitually does not deliver on a promise, or pay for a service, gets a bad record (ebay style)

theProphetUltimately this would add a lot more diverse community connections and allow large scale projects to happen with greater efficiency and cordination. It would also give purpose to players who are less internally motivated. 100% needed!

Treeless RainThere should be a mission check for completion. Otherwise how does the server know who did what?. Furthermore, the rewards need to be decent for players to undertake said mission types.

Dmitry NesterovYes, it is necessary. Many different types of missions. Including combat, espionage, landing, scientific research, sociological. You can take the mission from the player, from the Corporation, Brotherhood, Country, NPC. Reputation system. But this is all in perspective.

frenkjust implement something like "accept mission" to unlock a specific dispender where you can pick up something you have to deliver somewhere. so we can use this to frequently deliver automaticly crafted items to the markets or something

Shadowfyre2there are always players in games who create fan fiction stories. I would love to see a system in place where these players and talented story tellers could submit epic, multi stage missions for a review by either piers or programmers to be added to the game.

LukyiI think a Mission System can work realy easy:
1. Player make a Misson description totally of his own in Text Form
2. A simple Contract System:
The Player can link his Text to A:
An Amount of quantas when the Contract is fulfilled.
Or B :
The Player can attach Items to the Contract.
How u can trust a Player ?
Its simple with 3 Ingreadients:
1. A Reputation System based of 1 - 10 Points
2. U cant give Rep to Friends and Org Members (or its clearly marked in the Reputations.)
3. U can comment ure rating of others and ure own ratings (for the case if u get a unfair Rating u can comment it but dont delete it)
Why it is linked to High-Dev cost ? I simply dont understand that u could basicly "copy" it from amazon ebay or some other Online Shop.
PS: Please introduce this with Ingame-Voice-Chat.
U could made it with a p2p server. i think there is a big market of ingame voice p2p solutions at low cost. -

SirabiI would LOVE to see daily-limit missions - once every 24 hours or so. That way orgs can provide rewards for "dailies" to their members on tasks to be done that need regular attention.

LeniverAdd RDMS to mission system so we can create mission only for an org.
