i think we need to think about optimisation before adding more graphics. you can't even stay at the market for extended periods without crashing. bad idea. stop voting on this people.

If there's one thing I feel this game does not need, it's graphical improvements. If any changed should be made to graphics, it should prioritize optimization in populated areas. Please consider this comment a downvote towards this category.
We should probably let them focus on stability before they start introducing instability.
Improve render distance of the planet textures (maybe a settings option?). When landing from space planets look horrible. Can't even tell visually how far from the ground you are. It is more evident when trying to land at night or on poles.

Please carry out your original plan to revamp the existing planet terrains. Everybody who did landscaping / underground builds in the beta KNEW that it was a planned change, so don't alter your roadmap on their account. I would like the existing planets to be as beautiful as they were meant to be!
This game desperately needs optimizing. The constant lag spikes and op pending, not to mention my gpu and cpu being ran at near 100%, or how the game will crash upon closing it or sometimes even opening it. I love the potential of this world but I can't fully enjoy it with everyone yet because of this. Thank you for your time, Devon.
wow if it's like on that picture wow and the sky needs improvement as well because there is no switch from atmosphere and space like the font is the same ! it should be a blue sky and black in space rather than the ugly current one and better clouds and fog and etc so we can notice change while entering atmosphere! and the lighting is dumb the sun light is even underground
In the markets I get anywhere from 10-15 fps and I have a rtx 2070s and r5 3600 and really high frame times so i think this would be a good thing to update in Dual Universe.
the gfx in the game (planets) is pretty awful right now, looks like phone shaded nothing but flat surfaces from 100m or so up in the air, makes it really difficult to judge distance at night
Optimize the engine first. Being on planets kills my gtx2060 gaming laptop.
High end pcs can’t even be at market with out issues. Optimize that first
The graphics can be made incredible with UNIGEN - but the game still needs a lot of core features.The hard fact is that pretty graphics draw players in and gameplay keeps them engaged.The gameplay must be improved first.Then you make the game pretty and get new players.
Yes, it is definitely needed (graphics). I hope that not only trees, vegetation and rocks will change, but the graphics for other objects will improve, for example: dunes, snow, ore (detail). There will be graphical effects when moving through the snow, on the sand, while the ship is moving at high speed in the atmosphere (a funnel of fire in front of the ship, a long trail of spent fuel). Ore will appear on the surface itself in the form of sharp stones protruding high into the sky.
It's great having lots of flexible systems and customizability, but at a base level this has to be a universe that I enjoy being in, and currently the planets are just so ugly and barebones right now that I have little interest in creating things and hanging out there. It doesn't need to be cutting edge, but it at least needs to have some appeal.
Definitily something that is needed in the long run. I feel there are other stabilization priorities that need more focus first, but I definitily think this is something I'd like to see in the game to enrich the overall experiance.
Everyone that voted for this is retarded. Lets focus on game play. Like the fact warping is pretty much worthless without bugs. Slow boating is also worthless because it takes 3-7 hours to slow boat.

if i go to market i need to set all graphics to low , and still it tries to kill my pc, that isnt that shabby
"Visuals" (suggested by Travin on 2020-10-09), including upvotes (1) and comments (0), was merged into this suggestion.
Visuals would be nice however; trying to put a base inside a cliff face is currently very hard because of the server loading old textures. I have ran into the side of a non existent cliff face more than one time. It draws in the original side of the mountain then takes away those bits that have changed. Fix this kind of stuff before we go making things more detailed / complex.
I voted for this, but for optimisation reasons first and foremost.
I agree, Fix crashes before this. Definitely want smooth gameplay before worthless treesand plants
